POSITIVITY! Since I first heard him about 5 years ago, Jah Sun's music has always lifted my spirits, and I love the new "Meditation" with Queen Omega! This artist from Humboldt county in California blends his reggae with some hip-hop and a little world music and his lyrics are always conscious and positive. He has recorded with many major reggae artists such as Luciano, Junior Reid, Lutan Fyah and Yami Bolo, to name a few. Love his ballads too. I think one of my favorites will always be "Fyah Dance" from his 2006 debut album, "Height of Light". Talented, I say! And I also love Queen Omega (born in Trinidad) who continues to blaze trails for female roots reggae artists. Would love to see her perform live sometime! Enjoy.

California based reggae singjay Jah Sun recently teamed up with Germany's Far East Band (best known for their work as Gentleman's backing band) for a project that is creating quite the buzz.

The single "Meditation" featuring Queen Omega is bubblin' in Jamaica and getting good rotation from both the radio and video dj's. Jah Sun was invited to sit in with Gentleman and the Far East Band at Reggae Rising in front of 15,000 people last year. Far East Band and Jah Sun knew right away they had a good chemistry and decided to start working together.
