Knolford Polo & Tennis Guest Ranch – Riversdale (Saint Catherine), Jamaica
Located in the center of the island, Knolford Polo & Tennis Ranch is in the lush Rio D’Oro river valley, 10 miles east of Linstead, in the Bog Walk area of Saint Catherine parish. Polo has been played in Jamaica since its introduction in 1882, by the West India Regiment, when Jamaica was a part of the British Empire. By the end of the 19th century, civilians were playing, clubs were formed, and today there are five main polo clubs on the island. Knolford’s owner, C. Mark Harris, is a 3-goal polo player with many years’ experience, who has represented Jamaica in international tournaments. On his beautiful ranch, he has over 60 horses, the largest herd of polo ponies in Jamaica. The ranch operates as an all-inclusive with 15 spacious, nicely decorated room.
