Toby's Resort, Montego Bay, Saint James Parish, JamaicaLocated in a residential area at the far end of the famous "hip-strip", this older but very clean property is well-suited to the casual budget traveler who wants to be close to the action yet enjoy some peace and quiet. The family-owned property has 65 rooms in 2-story buildings. All rooms have A/C, private bathroom, small private verandah with pool or garden view, and cable TV. Rooms are spacious, simple and comfortably furnished. Guests applaud the friendly and helpful staff! There are two well-maintained pools (one at each end of the property), both with bars, and the surrounding gardens and grounds with lots of trees are well-kept. WiFi internet access is provided in the hotel lobby. The on-site restaurant, Toby’s Good Eats, is open from 7:30am-11pm. Toby’s is a 10-minute walk from the ever-popular Margaritaville. There are several nearby beaches within walking distance, particularly Doctor’s Cave Beach where you can buy a day-pass for a few dollars.
