Blue House Luxury B&B - White River Estates (Ocho Rios area)

Technically in Saint Mary Parish, this luxurious B&B is just about 3 miles out of Ocho Rios. The Blue House is owned and operated by hospitable hosts Elise Yap and her brother, Darryl (a talented chef). You can be close to the shopping and nightlife of Ocho Rios, yet enjoy the laid-back and quiet ambiance of a smaller boutique hotel. This pleasant property has 4 charming rooms, each one unique, plus the private “Cozy Cottage”. Rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated, clean, and have extra touches like fresh flowers. Cardiff Hotel & Spa - 98 Ricketts Drive, Runaway Bay

A few miles west of Ocho Rios and nestled in the hills, with breathtaking views of the Caribbean, this hotel has 56 comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms with private baths, verandahs, A/C, and satellite TVs. There is a nice pool and bar, and food is served at their Cardiff Hall Restaurant. The 18-hole Runaway Bay Golf Course is nearby; as is a private beach (the hotel provides shuttle service). The hotel was built to be a training hotel for people seeking careers in the hospitality field. Castle Point Villa Retreat - Tower Isle (Ocho Rios area)

Within a 5-minute walk from Tower Isle Jerk Center and a 5-minute drive into Ocho Rios, this lovely villa offers 4 modern, spacious and beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with private bathroom, and a very spacious “penthouse” (or Honeymoon Suite), with its own Jacuzzi and surrounding verandah, which can accommodate 6 people. Each room has a ceiling fan, fridge, coffee/tea-making facilities and mosquito nets. Cable TV and internet access are available on request. Their very reasonable daily rates include continental breakfast but, for an extra fee, a full breakfast will be prepared for you. Repeat guests remark on the friendliness and hospitality of the proprietors and say they “were taken care of as if members of the family”. High Hope Estate - 16 Top Road, Saint Ann's Bay

This little-known gem is located near Ocho Rios and overlooks Saint Ann’s Bay and the sparkling Caribbean, at the halfway point on the North Coast. An intimate and romantic inn, High Hope has only 5 guest rooms, accommodating a maximum of 10 guests. Each guestroom is furnished with English and Jamaican antiques and is equipped with a stocked mini-fridge, cable TV, WiFi and CD player. All have verandahs offering spectacular views of either the sea or the mountains. Built in the 1960s by an eccentric American heiress in the style of a grand Italian villa, the current owners have upgraded but preserved the elegance, glamour and style of that period. Piper’s Cove Resort – Salem

This family owned & operated inn on Jamaica's North Coast is located on Piper’s Cove next to Hedonism III (they offer discount passes), and has 14 one-bedroom apartments, 6 studios, a restaurant, swimming pool and private beach all in a garden setting. All rooms have A/C, ceiling fans, cable television, fully-equipped kitchenettes, and balconies. Some have an ocean view. The property is clean and well-maintained and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It is about one hour from Montego Bay and 30 minutes from Ocho Rios, so it’s centrally located for all your North Coast activities. Tamarind Tree Hotel – Runaway Bay

I have stayed at Tamarind Tree on two or three occasions and enjoyed it each time. This small, family-run hotel is located about 20 minutes from Ocho Rios on the North Coast of Jamaica. There are about 14 pleasant rooms, with cable TV, A/C, and verandahs, and all are in need of some degree of sprucing up. However, Tamarind Tree has three wonderful villas that each sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms. These 2-story round buildings are clean and modern and perfect for families trying to do the North Coast on a budget (US$200 per night all year)! Each has two bathrooms plus a powder room, a nice living room and dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchenette. You can visit the local market and enjoy your own home-cooked meals, or go across the main road to Flavours on the beach for some delicious Jamaican food. Tamarind Tree is cozy and safe, central to all the things you want to do near Ocho Rios, and the staff is always warm, friendly and attentive. This chic North Coast B&B is actually in the Parish of Saint Mary but is only about 10 minutes east of Ocho Rios in Tower Isle. Set in a lush tropical garden full of fruit and coconut trees, they offer 7 light and airy rooms furnished in neutral tones with locally handmade furniture. Amenities include A/C, TV, fridge and balconies overlooking the gardens or the lovely pool. Breakfast is included in the rate and they are just a short walk from the Tower Jerk Centre.
